About

Impact Cafes is a directory of cafes and coffee shops with a social-impact mission — places that train and employ people in recovery, in reentry, with disabilities, and from other under-served communities.

Existing cafe-finder apps surface convenience metrics — Wi-Fi, hours, ratings. They don't tell you which shops are doing meaningful work behind the counter. This site exists to make that visible, so a coffee run can be a small choice that compounds.

What's listed here

Cafes are added by us after a public submission, or directly by the cafe owner. Each listing covers the basics (location, hours via the cafe's own site) plus the mission-specific details a Google listing doesn't capture: training partner, populations served, and hiring model.
